The Club is heading to Julimar Forest to tackle the Julimar Track in Reserve, and with the recent rain hopefully we will get a few bog holes out there.

Julimar State Forrest for a day of driving the tracks.  We will be meeting at Bindoon Bakehaus after the Trip/Safety Briefing, we will have our new environmental officer with us to assess this location as a possible area for future club plans in regards to track adoption.

  • Vehicle Suitability: 
    •      Suitable for medium clearance vehicles with dual range and all terrain or road tyres. 
    •      Suitable for medium to high clearance vehicles with dual range and all terrain tyres. 
    •      Suitable for high clearance vehicles with dual range and tyres suitable for the terrain. (Mud Terrain tyres)

  • Driver Experience: 
    • Suitable for all drivers with moderate experience.
    • Suitable for all for drivers with reasonable experience

  • UHF Channel: 10
  • Minimum Requirements: Licensed & roadworthy vehicle, UHF Radio either a fixed unit or a handheld unit (5 watts is the recommended wattage for handheld radios), Rated recovery points front and rear of your vehicle or minimum a rated (recovery hitch), 2 x rated bow shackles, 1 x snatch strap & damper blanket, 1 x long-handle shovel, Air Compressor, Tire Deflator, Enough water for 24 hours per occupant.   • Safety / Trip Briefing: 9:15 AM hrs Convoy will be meeting at Bindoon Bakehaus there will be an opportunity to grab a coffee, a bite to eat and socialize before we head off. 
  • Fuel: All attendees must have a full tank of fuel before the Safety / Trip briefing
  • Water: Minimum of 5 Litres per day per passenger per day.
  • Weather: The outdoors can change its conditions at any moment, be prepared for cold/ hot – dry/wet conditions
  • National Park Fees: N/A
  • Footwear: Enclosed Shoes must be worn on loose gravel surfaces. We recommend wearing boots if you have them or shoes with lots of treads the pee gravel can be slippery.
  • Food: BYO - Self-Sufficient (snacks/lunch break in the field) 
  • Additional Costs: Joker Run (Each person who wishing to particpate is asked to bring $20.00 and we will draw a random number. Meaning you could win half of the pot, with the other half used as fundraising towards the club.)

  • Please also note that for some types of trips, this is not always possible and if you run too late you run the risk of being unable to go on the trip.

Trip Overview -

The Isuzu 4x4 Club of WA Inc. is heading out to Julimar Forest  driving through the State Forest valleys/hills. We recommend members wear enclosed footwear as they will be walking on loose & uneven surfaces.

The weather could be cold & wet, so please ensure you bring wet weather gear and something warm to wear.

Attendees are advised to please ensure safety/event requirements are taken

  • Follow instructions given by the trip leader, trip leader 2IC / Charlie.
  • Carefully follow all directions given by the trip leader, trip leader 2IC / Charlie.
  • Make sure you arrive early before the safety/trip briefing
