About the Event

The Isuzu 4x4 Club of WA Inc. is heading north to Nambung Station Stay. 

The Station is within close proximity to the Pinnacles and Mt Lesueur National Park

The club will be visiting the  Stock Gully Caves and exploring the tracks near the caves.

***Please note bees are common around these caves, if you are allergic to bee stings please ensure you bring your Epipen with you.  

Our trip leader can confirm if bees are present near the entrance via UHF Radio if you wish to remain back away from the cave until confirmed***

This trip is available for officially paid Isuzu Club Members only.

If you are not a member yet now is a great time to join so you can come along!

Please note Guests are able to attend as temporary members -  for $60.00 per person.

Single and Family membership is $120.00 per year.

Itinerary

  • Name of Trip: Nambung Station Stay

  • Trip Difficulty: Beginner / Intermediate / Gravel Roads & Sand Tracks
  • Vehicle Suitability: All Terrain Tyres must have 4wd and low range
  • UHF Channel: 10
  • Minimum Requirements: Licensed & roadworthy vehicle, UHF Radio either a fixed unit or a handheld unit (5 watts is the recommended wattage for handheld radios), Rated recovery points front and rear of your vehicle or minimum a rated (recovery hitch), 2 x rated bow shackles, 1 x snatch strap & damper blanket, 1 x long-handle shovel, Air Compressor, Tire Deflator, Enough water for 24 hours per occupant.   • Maximum Vehicles: If the group gets too big we will look at splitting the convoy up if required.
  • National Park Pass: Not required

  • Trip Finish Time: 1700hrs approximately

  • Safety / Trip Briefing: 1730hrs Convoy on the Road by 1745hrs (Please ensure you arrive 15mins prior with a full tank of fuel prior to the muster start time)
  • Fuel: All attendees must have a full tank of fuel prior to Safety / Trip briefing
  • Water: Minimum 5 Litres per day per adult we also recommend carrying the same amount per child as a safety measure. Always ensure you bring enough water required for drinking & cleaning.
  • Weather: The outdoors can change its conditions at any moment, be prepared for cold/ hot – dry/wet conditions
  • Bags of Firewood per Vehicle Required: 1-2 ***TBC***
  • National Park Fees: Yes - refer to DBCA Website Click Here Day Pass to Nambung National Park - Standard Rate - $15.00 per vehicle - Concession Rate - $8.00 per vehicle.
  • Camping Fees: Yes - Click Here ***TBC*** $15 per Adult per night - $5 per Child (4 to 16) per night Plus an additional $10 per site per night for Power. (Please pay directly to Nambung Station).

  • Footwear: Enclosed Shoes must be worn on loose gravel surfaces. We recommend wearing boots if you have them or shoes with lots of treads the pee gravel can be slippery.

  • Camping Facilities – N/A
  • Food: BYO - Self-Sufficient (lunch in the field) We recommend that you have an early prior to the muster time or bring food with you, we will be stopping throughout the evening for a couple of breaks.
  • Additional Costs: Entry to the Pinnacles National Park if you do not have an Annual National Park Pass

  • Notes: (Please ensure you arrive ready with a full tank of fuel 15mins prior to muster start time) ***If your running late you must inform the Trip Leader. A lot of timing is based on our trips and if you're running too late we may need to leave without you. Depending on the type of trip it may be possible to organize an alternate meeting point with the Trip Leader i.e. meet at a campsite etc. Please also note that for some types of trips, this is not always possible and if you run too late you run the risk of being unable to go on the trip.

Trip Overview -

The club will arrive at Nambung Station Stay at approx. 1930hrs

Departing camp Saturday morning for Morning Tea in Jurien Bay (members need to top up fuel)

After morning tea the club will head to the Stock Gulley Caves to explore and have a picnic lunch (please BYO a picnic blanket & snack food for a picnic)

The club will go exploring some tracks after the picnic and eventually make its way back to camp for dinner and board games (please bring some games with you)

Sunday the club will depart via Jurien Bay after morning tea followed by stopping at Lancelin Bakery for lunch & making its way back to Perth.

We recommend members wear enclosed footwear as they will be walking on loose & uneven surfaces.

The weather could be cold & wet, so please ensure you bring wet weather gear and something warm to wear.

Attendees are advised to please ensure safety/event requirements are taken

  • Carefully follow all directions given by the trip leader, trip leader 2IC / Charlie.
  • Make sure you arrive early prior to the safety/trip briefing
