The Club is heading North to Lancelin Sand Dunes & we will be camping at the North End Caravan Park

Itinerary

  • Vehicle Suitability: 4WD Low Range, Recovery points or recovery hitch, Snatch Strap Kit, Shovel,  
  • Driver Experience:  Suitable for all driver's training provided if needed.

  • Minimum Requirements: Licensed & roadworthy vehicle, UHF Radio either a fixed unit or a handheld unit (5 watts is the recommended wattage for handheld radios), Rated recovery points front and rear of your vehicle or minimum a rated (recovery hitch), 2 x rated bow shackles, 1 x snatch strap & damper blanket, 1 x long-handle shovel, Air Compressor, Tire Deflator, Enough water for 24 hours per occupant.   • Maximum Vehicles: until Caravan Park fills up.

Trip Overview -

We will be meeting up at the Silver Coast Bakery in Lancelin on Saturday morning for breakfast followed by the trip meeting. 

After we finish the trip meeting, for the members who are staying overnight we will be dropping off our Caravans, Trailers, etc. onto our sites  * Please note we are only dropping off not setting up our sites we will do this towards the end of the day. 

After drop off we will then depart heading further north to Grey to enter the northern entry point of the Wanagarren Track making our way south towards Wedge Island. When we arrive at Wedge Island we will be stopping somewhere on the beach for a BBQ (BYO).

After lunch, we will be heading back to the Caravan Park to set up for the night. Opportunity for a small play in the dunes to get some sunset photos.

Sunday morning you can either cook breakfast or go to the bakery or anywhere else you like to get some breakie. 

We will be meeting up Sunday morning at the Air Down point at the entry at the Dunes muster time is 1000hrs. Please ensure you are packed up and ready to go before 1000hrs please note all members staying at the Caravan Park check out by 1000hrs. 

For those who are taking Caravans / Trailers, you will be able to either leave them out the front of the caravan park or park them up at the Dunes Car Park *note we recommend that you place a lock on your caravan/trailer coupling to prevent theft.

After muster, we will be heading into the dunes and stopping for lunch at the endeavor tavern and then heading back out into the dune for the afternoon finishing up at approximately 1600hrs.

The weather could be cold & wet, so please ensure you bring wet weather gear and something warm to wear.

Attendees are advised to please ensure safety/event requirements are taken

  • Follow instructions given by the trip leader, trip leader 2IC / Charlie.
  • Carefully follow all directions given by the trip leader, trip leader 2IC / Charlie.
  • Make sure you arrive early before the safety/trip briefing
  • If you are not sure about something or you need assistance please radio call the Trip Leaders or Charlie for assistance

Attendee Acknowledgment -

Drivers must hold a valid Western Australian Drivers License

Vehicles are registered & roadworthy

Vehicles must have a roadworthy spare tire jack and tools to change it

Attendees are required to follow all instructions & directions given to me by a member of the committee trip leaders or any other person given authority to provide instructions & directions by the committee

Attendees must always act and conduct my activities with the Isuzu Club in the safest & respectful manner

Attendees are expected to arrive at the Muster Point with a full tank of fuel 15 minutes before the Muster Time

If running late, attendees must contact the Trip Leader to discuss possible options - If running too late I may not be able to attend the trip

Attendees understand that the club records different types of media for its purposes & it is my responsibility to ensure I remove myself from the recording location if I wish not to be recorded

If attendees fail to follow instructions given, act or conduct activities in a non-safe manner and or an unrespectful manner you may be asked to leave the trip
